In 2017 Enchanted Valley Carnival found its new home in Mumbai and the Tribe welcomed this move with open arms. The 2 day multi genre festival promised to showcase the best of Trance, House and Bollywood and it definitely didn’t let us down!

Here’s our round up of the 2-day city festival:

Day 1

Day one of EVC went down in the history of Trance in India. Heavy weights like Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Marlo were brought together on the Eletronic Family Stage. Homegrown artists Snowflacks and Get Massive did an exceptional job to get the crowd grooving and set up the vibe for Ruben De Ronde and Rodg who were performing a special B2B set as they dropped progressive tunes from their latest album Togetherr.

As the evening progressed with Marlo, Markus Schulz and finally Armin Van Buuren, it was pretty evident that Trance is alive and kicking in India. It isn’t just a genre of music, but a feeling that binds people together. There is something beautiful about thousands of people singing a track in unison. That is exactly what happened as each of these DJs dropped crowd favorites through the evening. Armin, who although has played in India on several occasions before, commands a fan base who just can’t seem to get enough of him. His set is nothing short of a journey through trance, teaching people to ‘Be In The Moment’.

Day 2

The day 2 line up was unconventional – bringing together Electro-Pop, Tropical House, Bass and Bollywood. It’s safe to say, this day was all about the biggest hits in the recent past with the line up boosting acts like Hugel, Nucleya, Robin Schulz, DJ Chetas and Arijit Singh. It was phenomenal to see the audience groove to Schulz’s ‘OK’ and ‘Headlights’ with just as much enthusiasm to homegrown favorites like Arijit Singh’s ‘Channa Mereya’. The audience was a true testament to how diverse India’s musical tastes are.

All in all – great production, diverse programming and venue in the heart of Mumbai puts EVC on our top concerts for the year. We can’t wait to see what EVC has in store for us next year, until then, you can stream the EVC Bollywood playlist here.
