Sean Paul, Incubus, Major Lazer, Dillon Francis – there is more than one reason to make your way to VH1 Supersonic in Pune this February. While you plan your weekend, here’s your cheat sheet to having the complete festival experience.

Artists you must catch

With 80+ artists spanning across rock, pop, electronic and hip-hop over multiple stages, the only way to make the most of the experience is to plan ahead of time. While the international headliners like Sean Paul, Incubus, Major Lazer and Dillon Francis makes it to every festival goer’s list, the line up also boasts of an interesting mix of artists making their India debut. Plini, Seven Lions, Christoph, Oliver Smith and Adana Twins are a few artists you should definitely add to your watch list. Then there are the homegrown favorites like Arjun Vagale, Parekh & Singh, Vinayak^a, aswekeepsearching, and Pentagram. Between the headliners, India debutants and the array of India artists – you are going to have a pretty packed weekend.

Experiences to try

What makes Supersonic the complete package is all the experiences around the music itself. When you get tired of stage hopping, you can stop by the Super Flea to grab a bite, shop for quirky festival fashion and accessories or just hang out by any of the Instagrammable hot spots. We also highly recommend stopping by the experience zone to play games and grab a drink at the Beer garden. Our personal favorite though that we feel more festivals should definitely incorporate: a de-stress tent where you can that well-deserved foot massage!

Things to do post 10 PM

Getting a cab after a music festival is what horror stories are made of. Thankfully, at this festival, you can kick-start your after party at the venue itself which stays open till 11:30 PM. Post that, both Koregaon Park and Viman Nagar are located 20 minutes from the venue and you’ll find enough and more places to keep the night going.

While you are in Pune

If you are traveling to Pune for the festival, you might as well use the opportunity to try some of the incredible local cuisines. Pune also hosts a bunch of great Sunday brunches in and around the city.

Don’t forget the basics

Carry a light jacket; it will get slightly cold by night. Wear comfortable shoes. Don’t forget to hydrate; water is free all through the festival. Last but not the least, sing along to all your favorite artists and make sure you discover a few new ones while you are there. For now, you can start with the Supersonic Indie and Supersonic Electronic playlists with the must catch artists from the lineup.
